Built in 1932 by order of the mayor of Nuenen, Gerwen and Nederwetten, Mr. Cees van Rijckevorsel, under the architecture of Cornelis Roffelsen. The country house is designed in a historicizing architectural style with 17th-century detailing. The spacious layout with bay window, service building and balcony is characteristic of the interbellum period. Mayor Van Rijckevorsel lived there with his family until 1947. In July 1944 he had to go into hiding. NSB members then moved into the house and did considerable damage. During the liberation, the PAN, the Nuenen resistance, imprisoned the Nuenen NSB and imprisoned them in the house. In 1947 the house was bought by physician Piet Wolters. The building is now used as a residence.
